The cooperation with OBO Bettermann started with the operation of various multilingual websites, company presentations and product catalogues.
The good partnership and the successful projects formed the basis for the expansion of the cooperation. Since 2018, we have been providing OBO with a highly available e-commerce platform.
The use of leading caching and clustering technologies forms the cornerstone for the high performance of the platform.
By using multiple application servers in combination with high-performance database clusters, the e-commerce solution runs stably and always within the optimal parameters.
The main focus here is on load distribution. The integrated intelligent load balancing system ensures that all requests are automatically distributed among the available servers so that the system is never overloaded.
The following technologies are used:
- Virtualisation and HAProxy Load Balancing
- Typo3 CMS and OXID shop
- Galera database cluster
- Varnish caching on Apache web server
In addition, high availability is essential. We operate the systems 24/7, actively monitor them using various monitoring parameters and look after them in close cooperation with OBO and service providers.
This means that if a fault should occur, we can intervene directly and rectify the cause.
